Petty Officer Michael Davis (played by Jeremy Davis) joins SEAL Team VI as a rookie, but after his initial mission, the once-green recruit is forced to grapple with the harsh realities of combat far beyond his years. His first assignment with the elite black ops squad is as Communications Officer for a micro ground assault team specializing in surgical aerial operations against strategic targets in Iraq, which later became known as Operation Desert Storm. The honor of serving in this specialized unit is further amplified by his opportunity to train under Master Chief Devon Mackefy (Ken Gamble), the team's seasoned leader.
Having just completed a mission, the team is once again deployed due to Mackefy's unwavering reputation as "the best." Despite being exhausted, understaffed by one member, and lacking proper weapons equipment, Davis and his comrades are compelled to operate under strict invisibility protocols. The team's core members include Petty Officer Williams (Kristoffer Garrison), Petty Officer Sanchez (Neta De Paula), and Chief Petty Officer Roberts (Zach McGowan), while their sole liaison in Iraq is Jamal (Amol Shah), a Kurdish defector who lost his family to the conflict and now aids U.S. forces in covert operations.
The team's objective: to identify aerial targets, avoid capture, and survive for four days in hostile territory. However, the enemy lurks in every shadow, and tensions escalate as Davis struggles with field inexperience while Mackefy wrestles with the emotional weight of a recent personal tragedy. These mounting challenges threaten not only the mission's success but also the fragile cohesion of the unit itself.
